Perforce Software announced the release of ZendHQ, adding observability tooling to ZendPHP.
ZendPHP is a PHP runtime from Zend that was designed from the ground up to accommodate cloud and container orchestration paradigms, and ZendHQ now provides the observability tooling required by modern DevOps teams.
“The release of the ZendHQ feature is about evolving our product line to align with DevOps trends in the PHP ecosystem,” says Matthew Weier O’Phinney, Product Manager at Zend.
ZendPHP makes containerization and orchestration with PHP simpler by providing runtimes, long term support, security updates, and better performance for multiple PHP versions on Linux and IBM i. ZendHQ adds extensions to ZendPHP for monitoring, including a graphical interface and dashboards for viewing, configuring, and drilling down into events. Users can configure ZendHQ to notify other integrations via webhooks, further extending the capabilities.
“This observability tooling helps teams understand the health of their applications, including their individual services. It not only highlights potential issues, but also helps identify root causes – allowing you to pinpoint and fix the issue to avoid reoccurrence,” continues Weier O’Phinney.
