SmartBear CrossBrowserTesting Integrates with Applitools
December 12, 2017

SmartBear announced the integration of its CrossBrowserTesting web testing platform with Applitools, an automated visual testing and monitoring product.

The integration ensures exceptional end-user experience as well as shortens testing cycles by making codeless visual testing easier, faster and more powerful than ever before. It brings together the advanced visual testing capabilities of Applitools with the largest remote browser and device testing platform, CrossBrowserTesting. The result makes cross-browser and cross-platform visual verification easier for development, QA and digital marketing teams of all skill levels.

CrossBrowserTesting customers can now subscribe to Applitools Visual Testing Service and seamlessly integrate the capabilities of CrossBrowserTesting with Applitools to ensure new applications render correctly as part of digital transformation initiatives. As software testing extends to the user interface (UI), CrossBrowserTesting's cross-browser and cross-device screenshot capabilities combine with Applitools’s AI-powered automated visual testing to speed release cycles, boost test coverage and continually ensure a flawless UI for a visually perfect end-user experience.

“By combining the power of the advanced visual testing capabilities of Applitools with the largest remote browser and device testing platform of CrossBrowserTesting, we're able to offer the first codeless automated visual testing solution,” said Ryan Lloyd, VP of Products, Test and Development at SmartBear. “This enables teams of all technical skill levels to be able to run visual tests quickly across browsers and platforms.”

CrossBrowserTesting provides real browsers and mobile devices for QA and development teams to run manual and automated tests in parallel, shortening testing cycles while eliminating the need for device labs and virtual machines (VMs). Applitools integrates with a range of development tools and is quickly being adopted by Global 1000 enterprises to automate thousands of visual comparisons and tests of UI components. Automated visual testing with Applitools substantially simplifies how teams detect problems within the UI, lowering unhappy customer experiences and reducing maintenance efforts as it automatically propagates when the UI of an application changes and unwanted variances are detected.

The new integration supports test automation engineers, QA team members, DevOps and developers of all skill levels – as capturing screenshots across several browsers and mobile devices now requires zero coding, and visual comparisons are completely automated by Applitools – ensuring all changes made by developers can be released with complete confidence.
