Postman Completes SOC 2® Type II Report
July 14, 2021

Postman successfully obtained the System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 Type 2 reports for the Postman API platform, meeting critical industry standards relative to the Trust Services Criteria for security, availability, and confidentiality.

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 Type II is the most widely recognized authoritative guidance that provides service organizations a method for disclosing independently assessed information about the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls related to their services. More and more companies are relying on SOC 2 reports as security becomes increasingly crucial, and Postman recognized that need.

"With more than 15 million developers and half a million organizations worldwide trusting Postman to meet the data protection and security requirements for their APIs, meeting industry standards is of the utmost importance,” said Joshua Scott, Head of Security and IT at Postman. "Obtaining these SOC reports not only reinforces our immediate commitment to the security of the Postman platform, but it also marks yet another stage in our ongoing journey toward making Postman the most trusted platform for working with APIs."
