Atomist Releases SDM 1.0.0-M.1

Atomist announced that the latest version of its open source Software Delivery Machine (SDM) project, version 1.0.0-M.1, now provides a fully local mode.
With this release, the API for software is available to every developer everywhere, enabling them to use their coding skills to achieve unprecedented control over their code and how it's delivered.
Atomist has demonstrated the power a software delivery machine gives developers with its programmable, event-driven approach to software delivery. With its new local mode, the Atomist SDM means all developers, everywhere can use a software delivery machine to develop their development experience on their own laptop. The event driven model provides a revolutionary approach to software delivery, and now developers can try it for themselves.

With Atomist SDM local mode, developers get the power of a software delivery machine on their laptop. Developers can automate their software development and delivery locally, get consistent project creation for any technology stack, and enable "code transforms" to automate common changes such as updating dependencies across projects. Projects are kept consistent and up-to-date automatically with "autofixes". Project changes can be automatically deployed locally for individual developer testing.
Modern software development is complex, and the tools that worked well in the previous era aren't keeping up with the demands of cloud native applications and their myriad pipelines and static configuration files. Developers need new tools to deal with these new problems, and by making Atomist SDM open source, Atomist is making those tools available to everyone who needs them.
