Tricentis Tosca 11.2 Released
June 04, 2018

Tricentis announced the latest release of its cloud-enabled Continuous Testing platform. Tricentis Tosca 11.2 adds support for the newest versions of S/4 HANA, Fiori 2.0, SAP API testing, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Hybris, SAP Concur, SAP Ariba testing, SAP Fiori load testing, SAP BI/BW testing, and more.

“Recent advancements of S/4 HANA and Fiori 2.0 enable the agile, modular, and distributed enterprise application environment necessary for successful digital transformation,” said Dr. Gerd Weishaar, Chief Product Officer for Tricentis. “A new approach to testing, called continuous testing, is required to yield these transformation benefits. Conventional software testing approaches, built for prior generations of SAP applications, simply can’t keep up with today’s modern SAP environments. Tricentis has been declared the number one platform for continuous testing SAP solutions.”

New test automation approach for S/4 HANA and Fiori 2.0 : Since legacy testing tools have inadequate support for S/4 HANA and Fiori 2.0; 50 percent of SAP users have to rely on manual testing to validate a release. With fast release cycles imperative in the digital age, organizations must take advantage of the latest test automation technologies to compete. When organizations modernize their SAP environments by upgrading to the latest versions of S/4 HANA or Fiori 2.0, they will have to rebuild the entire test suite as existing tests are not reusable. This latest release of Tricentis Tosca simplifies the construction of automated tests, and significantly reduces test maintenance overhead.

SAP Fiori load testing: Modern SAP applications, powered by S/4 HANA and Fiori 2.0, involve many highly-distributed components—and a performance issue in any of them could have a ripple effect across the entire application.

Tricentis Flood enables customers to either use their existing Tricentis scriptless functional test cases, or upload their JMeter, Gatling or Selenium load test plans. These can then be distributed across hundreds of servers in the cloud and show results in real-time. This helps customers to integrate performance testing into their continuous integration pipeline and identify performance problems early when they are easiest to fix. Tricentis Flood has an ability to generate load using a browser, such as Google Chrome, in addition to traditional load testing approach of testing at HTTP protocol level using JMeter, Gatling or Selenium load test plans.

Test automation for SAP solutions: SAP Success Factor, SAP Ariba and SAP Hybris: Many digital enterprises today depend on SAP Success Factor for HR and HCM, SAP Ariba for e-Procurement and supply chain management, and on SAP Hybris for eCommerce. Many SAP business processes integrate and depend on these key enterprise software solutions. Tricentis Tosca 11.2 introduces test automation support for these solutions to help enterprises rapidly and reliably test end-to-end business processes.
