XebiaLabs announced expanded Dual-mode DevOps capabilities in its XebiaLabs DevOps Platform version 7.1. These features allow developers using Jenkins and other code-oriented tools to more easily tie Continuous Integration automation into their larger enterprise Continuous Delivery processes.
Xebialabs’ dual-mode DevOps approach supports all DevOps users across the enterprise, no matter how they prefer to work. The company’s latest release, version 7.1, delivers a new “code-centric” feature, Environment as Code. This capability allows teams to define deployment infrastructure and environments in code, making it easier for Development and Operations to collaborate on configuration management. Technical team members have more flexibility to use code to manage their software delivery pipelines, while less technical team members in Operations and throughout the business benefit from XebiaLabs’ simple-but-powerful visual user interface and automatic capture of compliance data.

Environment as Code enhances XebiaLabs’ existing dual-mode DevOps functionality for Release as Code, introduced earlier this year. Both features work concurrently with XebiaLabs' highly acclaimed graphical user interface for release orchestration and deployment automation. Enterprises can now offer both methods – Dual Modes – so users can take advantage of the working style most suited to their preferences.
