Progress announced the Q4 2024 release of its award-winning Progress® Telerik® and Progress® Kendo UI® component libraries.
As customers require more capabilities to support their digital transformation, CA Technologies announced a closer alignment in its Services strategy to address this shift in the marketplace, and the addition of Billy O’Riordan as GM of Global Services and Education, to drive this change.
Enterprises are increasingly leveraging software solutions to increase automation, agility and security. In addition to their on-premises software applications, they are also adding SaaS capabilities to be more nimble. To meet the changing customer demand for delivering innovative solutions faster, CA’s Services and Education organization will support the requirements of these new “modern software factories.”
Under O’Riordan’s leadership, the CA Services team aims to be even more agile and collaborative to quickly deliver outcomes – like shorter, less expensive deployments, more business value-oriented offerings, and the expertise and consultative guidance required to address these new capabilities – that matter to customers.
Customers rely on CA Services for high value professional services and knowledge around the company’s key solution areas -- from mobile to mainframe – with services that include:
- Agile Transformation Consulting and Coaching: Provide consultative services focused on business outcomes leveraging our expertise and best practices in Agile (as well as in API Management, DevOps and Security), plus long-term success management through assessments, upgrades, application management services and premium support.
- Organizational enablement: Provide quick time-to-value implementations, education content and training to help users accelerate solution adoption to speed value realization.
- Technology services: Drive lower cost and higher volume delivery of services remotely through CA’s centers in Plano, Prague & India; and implement flexible solutions that will deliver incremental value and that will grow and adapt to customers’ evolving business needs.
“We’ve been making this transformation – partly through our organic efforts and partly through our acquisition of companies like Rally, Automic and Veracode -- and we’ve reached an inflection point. We are fully committed to delivering our solutions in the way customers want to buy them, and now is the time to bring on a leader with the right skillset needed to drive this momentum,” said Adam Elster, President, Global Field Operations, CA Technologies. “Billy’s extensive leadership experience is exactly what we need to accelerate our Services efforts.”
O’Riordan joins CA from AppDynamics, where he was responsible for the successful delivery of the company’s global services. During his two-year tenure at AppDynamics, he increased the level of engagement with their professional, education and customer success businesses. Prior to AppDynamics, O’Riordan spent six years at BMC where he led their professional and education services across EMEA and APJ regions.
“I’m excited to join CA and look forward to working with CA’s team, its global solution centers, and its partner community to provide customers with the expertise needed to accelerate their digital transformation,” stated O’Riordan. “CA’s strategy is perfectly aligned to where the market is going. They’ve found a way to both pivot and leverage a traditional business model with the future to deliver innovative solutions that will drive greater success for CA and its customers,” says Billy.
