Perfecto Mobile announced new integrations for mobile testing with Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Studio Online.
Perfecto’s integrations connect its cloud-based test lab, Continuous Quality Lab, to Microsoft’s developer tools to enable automated mobile web and app testing via the cloud. Enterprises can leverage the integrations to work in a single IDE for full application development and quality management and ensure continuous quality throughout every build.
The integrations support both manual and automated app testing from within any browser and allows tests to be embedded in the development process. Tests are triggered automatically to run in the Continuous Quality Lab across real mobile devices operating under real user conditions, getting results as close to the end user experience as possible.
“Continuous quality, or the ability to inject quality into every build in the app development lifecycle, is how our customers are delivering better apps and delivering them faster, which is critical for creating high quality digital experiences. Our integrations with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Online bring major benefits to developers and testers working with Microsoft’s tool chain,” said Roi Carmel, SVP of Products and Corporate Strategy at Perfecto. “We believe in providing developers and testers with innovative and efficient quality tools and processes for building and testing native, mobile web and responsive web apps. We are pleased to continue working with Microsoft in arming developers and testers with the best tools on the market.”
“Our goal is to help developers ensure quality in every build. Integrating Perfecto’s ability to automate testing on real devices against real user conditions is a powerful complement to VSO’s Build features,” said Mitra Azizirad, General Manager, Developer Platform Marketing, Microsoft. “Perfecto extends the value of Visual Studio and enables continuous testing of mobile web and native apps in an always-on cloud-based lab, creating a worry free mobile test environment.”
Perfecto’s Visual Studio and Visual Studio Online integrations create a powerful, integrated mobile app development tool chain that:
- Implement easy exploratory testing: Use Microsoft’s new Chrome extension and Perfecto’s Visual Studio Online integration to perform manual tests and report bugs directly into Visual Studio Online
- Ensure quality during every build to drive fast feedback: By automating testing and streamlining build-test workflows, cycle times within the development process are reduced, yielding faster releases and better customer experience
- Unify the developer and tester UI: Access an enterprise-grade test lab within Visual Studio Online
- Support open source IDEs and languages: Extend existing test automation to mobile in Selenium Remote Web Driver using your preferred IDE (Visual Studio or Eclipse) and language (C#, Objective C, Java, JavaScript, Python or Perl) eliminates any learning curve
