Keynote Mobile Testing Integrates with AppDome
March 02, 2016

Keynote, now a part of Dynatrace, announced the integration of AppDome Mobile Vulnerability Assessment with the Keynote Mobile Testing platform.

The new capability will give developers and testers the ability to automatically assess security vulnerabilities directly within the Keynote Mobile Testing cloud, providing a more comprehensive application assessment.

“The advent of mobile brings to life new capabilities and convenience for consumers across a variety of use cases. However, new capabilities for consumers has also resulted in new points of attack for hackers,” said Avi Yehuda, CTO, AppDome. “AppDome provides a powerful suite of mobile security solutions that detect and protect against threats. Our integration with Keynote Mobile Testing will allow customers to assess applications on a wide variety of real devices and operating systems on-demand, ensuring users can safely capitalize on the promise of mobile.”

Security has become a top of mind issue for organizations and with the proliferation of BYOD environments, mobile security has become IT’s leading concern. Mobile security has struggled to keep pace with Gartner reporting that 75 percent of mobile apps would not currently pass basic security tests. Developers today are challenged to deliver high-performing applications that provide functionality with security at rapid release cycles. Today’s integration brings new capabilities to the Keynote Mobile Testing platform, giving customers a more complete end-to-end testing solution.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to build a better product for our customers to develop and test their applications through strategic integrations, and we’re excited to begin work with AppDome,” said Howard Wilson, GM, Keynote Mobile Testing. “The earlier agile teams can assess security vulnerabilities in the development process, the more cost effective the remedy. With this integration, we are arming agile teams with the tools they need to confidently deploy high-performing, secure applications.”

AppDome protects against known and unknown attack vectors such as Man-in-The-Middle, Data-at-Rest, Phishing, Pharming and tampering. Developers will be able to run automated vulnerability tests through AppDome directly in the Keynote Mobile Testing platform without any code change or SDK integration, providing results in minutes and giving them the option to work with AppDome to resolve any security issues prior to deployment.

Coupled with Keynote’s cloud-based access to the industry’s most complete library of real devices, customers can ensure their apps are tested for security and performance on any operating system across any use case.
