Fugue Names New CEO

Fugue announced the appointment of Josh Stella as Chief Executive Officer and David Mitchell as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Former CEO Phillip Merrick is leaving the company after leading Fugue through the development and launch of its innovative next-generation Cloud Security Posture Management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product and charting significant customer growth.

David Mitchell will lead Fugue’s go-to-market strategy and operations. Previously, Mitchell worked closely with Phillip Merrick at webMethods, where he served as VP of World-Wide Sales and succeeded Phillip as CEO, going on to guide the company’s sale to Software AG. webMethods remains the biggest initial public offering (IPO) in the history of the Washington, DC region. Since webMethods, Mitchell has served in leadership positions at innovative enterprise software companies such as Appian, Global360, and VersionOne.
