Acquia Releases New Developer Studio
October 17, 2019

Acquia announced the availability of its new Developer Studio, a suite of tools designed to improve the productivity of Drupal developers.

Developer Studio provides a browser-based Remote Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and Command Line Interface (CLI).

Leveraging more than 200 Acquia Cloud API commands, the Acquia Developer Studio CLI offers the fastest way to get a Drupal application up and running both locally and in Acquia Cloud. It takes minutes to install, and developers can spin up new Drupal applications complete with best practices for automated testing and continuous integration.

Additionally, the new Acquia Developer Studio Remote IDE provides a consistent browser-based UI that makes common developer setup tasks trivial. The Remote IDE leaves aside the time and effort necessary to customize and tailor your local environment, by providing a purpose-built cloud workstation for Drupal applications.

“Acquia Developer Studio streamlines the process of building, testing, and deploying in Drupal, making applications faster and easier to deploy,” said Dries Buytaert, Acquia co-founder and CTO. “This new functionality contributes to our mission of delivering the best developer tools for Drupal developers of all skill levels.”

IDE and CLI are available for download today; additional tools to support developer workflows will follow.
