BlazeMeter by Perforce Expands Akana’s API Testing
June 23, 2022

Akana by Perforce now offers BlazeMeter to customers, previously a solution with Broadcom Layer7.

This adds continuous API testing, synthetic monitoring, and enhanced API mock services to the already robust Akana suite.

“Akana now offers the most comprehensive API testing and monitoring capabilities out there” said Samir Ullal, Product Manager at Akana. “With BlazeMeter, Akana takes full lifecycle API management to another level by incorporating different aspects of testing into the various lifecycle stages”.

With the addition of BlazeMeter to the Perforce portfolio, Akana solidifies governance, oversight, and API security capabilities. In a world where APIs are the leading security threat vector, an organization’s API testing and monitoring capabilities are how they keep customer and company data secure. BlazeMeter by Perforce offers an integrated approach to API testing which easily ties into an organization’s CI/CD pipelines. This allows organizations to accomplish performance API testing and operational API testing alongside other important development pipelines. Additionally, BlazeMeter integrates with open-source and third-party tools such as Jenkins, PagerDuty, and Slack. This means team members can get instant notifications when API issues arise and put a stop to API threats or performance issues before they affect customers.

The Akana BlazeMeter upgrade is a cloud-based offering.
