Progress announced new powerful capabilities and enhancements in the latest release of Progress® Sitefinity®.
xMatters announced a major product release with new capabilities to help enterprises streamline incident resolution, enhance their DevOps toolchains, and drive better business outcomes. Highlights of this release include Event Flood Control, Comprehensive Event Visibility, Hybrid Cloud Insights, and more.
xMatters’ new Event Flood Control suppresses similar requests in close succession from noisy systems, minimizing information overload in real time so teams can focus on what needs fixing. By intelligently correlating events, xMatters successfully reduces noise surrounding major incidents and proactive response toolchains by 90% or more. The platform’s intelligent event management integrates with hundreds of third-party applications, including Moogsoft and BigPanda, to pinpoint issues and automatically engage the right team members to drive them to resolution.
xMatters’ Unlimited Event Visibility allows organizations to fully unlock insights from past incident resolution data, to improve root cause analysis and gain complete observability of the business.
“When it comes to successfully managing incidents, restoration of service is not the end of the story — in fact, some of the most valuable activities occur in the aftermath of resolution. xMatters’ new expanded data insights allow organizations to perform a complete audit of events with the most contextual information available, and put defined procedures in place to rapidly identify and avoid similar-looking incidents in the future. This is the kind of intelligence teams need to focus on restoring services as quickly as possible,” said Abbas Haider Ali, CTO at xMatters.
xMatters now gathers on-premise system information by enriching events with data from behind the firewall for full Incident Management Support of Hybrid Cloud environments.
“Events don’t just happen in the cloud, but across the entire enterprise. Over half of enterprises are adopting hybrid cloud strategies, according to the 2018 State of the Cloud Report from RightScale, and we’re arming these organizations to have complete, end-to-end visibility of their IT environment so they can stay ahead of issues regardless of where they originate,” said Doug Peete, SVP of Products at xMatters.
Additional features of the new xMatters release:
- Greater user control of on-call schedules: New mobile updates help users schedule and manage temporary absences directly from the xMatters mobile app
- Daylight Saving Times alerts: Be prepared when the clocks change to adjust to the start and end of Daylight Saving Time across global time zones
- New built-in integrations: Including Jira Ops and Microsoft Teams
