Sauce Labs unveiled its Continuous Testing Cloud to deliver high quality applications more efficiently.
Sauce Labs has extended its automated testing platform, now named the Continuous Testing Cloud, to include new Analytics and Extended Debugging features. These new features enable software development teams to not only run their tests across more platforms more quickly, but also identify and fix bugs faster.
“The Sauce Labs Continuous Testing Cloud meets the challenges of today’s competitive market by helping businesses create unforgettable, no-fail digital experiences for their customers,” said Charles Ramsey, CEO of Sauce Labs. “Companies have to maintain innovation within the development lifecycle to accommodate faster release times. However, they must not risk quality in order to do so. Their brand, and often, revenue is at stake when digital experiences fail.”
New features introduced for the Continuous Testing Cloud include:
■ Test Analytics, which features:
- Overview Dashboard - Analyzes test results and exposes common failures by browser and operating system, so testers can prioritize what to fix first.
- Test Trends - Provides visibility into tests’ pass/fail and error trends so management can see if quality is improving over time.
- Test History - Details the results of a single test over time to identify unstable and flaky tests with inconsistent test run time and pass/fail rates.
■ Extended Debugging - Offers a deeper understanding of test failures by surfacing network and browser errors helping devs quickly pinpoint issues.
“As development teams turn to best-of-breed agile testing tools, they often lose visibility that their previous integrated solutions yielded,” said Lubos Parobek, VP of Product at Sauce Labs. “With Test Analytics, executives can compare test results by team, managers can gauge release readiness, and testers can prioritize where to focus their time and efforts. Analytics are essential to improving the overall efficiency of software development and testing teams.”
Free for Sauce Labs Enterprise Customers, the full Test Analytics feature set will be generally available in the second quarter of 2018. Extended Debugging is free for all users at no additional cost and currently generally available.
