ShuttleOps Announces New No-Code CI/CD Solution Powered by Chef, Docker and HashiCorp
May 04, 2020

ShuttleOps unveiled a new No-Code Software as a Service (“SaaS”) continuous integration and continuous delivery (“CI/CD”) solution powered by Chef, Docker & HashiCorp.

The new offering modernizes application delivery with prebuilt integrations to best of breed DevOps tools and a no-code pipeline editor, enabling organizations of any size to rapidly build, deploy and manage applications across AWS, GCP and Azure cloud environments.

The ability to package and deploy applications to drive business growth, remains a significant challenge for most organizations. Understanding all the moving parts of CI/CD, including infrastructure, security and the convergence of systems is a significant learning curve. The coded approach most vendors are taking to build CI/CD solutions only widens the skills gap, as most teams do not have highly-skilled DevOps engineers to implement, scale and maintain these solutions.

“Application delivery is complex, and most companies don’t have the time or skills to figure it out” says Damith Karunaratne, CEO, ShuttleOps. “Teams want a simple, fast and secure way of managing applications, without a massive investment in time, money and services. The no-code strategy we’ve taken with ShuttleOps alleviates skills requirements, so teams of any size can quickly achieve automated application delivery to the cloud.”

ShuttleOps offers less-technical users a way to build, deploy and manage applications without writing code. Prebuilt integrations for source code management, application configuration, containers, security, and infrastructure provisioning tools mean customers can leverage their existing investments. This, combined with the no-code pipeline editor, gives developers, operators and business stakeholders alike the power of a technical pipeline with the flexibility of a business workflow, so each step of the build and deploy process is clearly visualized and can be aligned to organizational processes.

“Modern Development and Operations teams want to deliver applications as quickly as possible on platforms they trust,” said Duane Williams, Senior Product Manager at ShuttleOps. “We integrate best of breed CI/CD tools into a single platform so that applications can be delivered at the speed of innovation.”

Chef Software has partnered with ShuttleOps to provide native support for Chef Habitat, Chef’s application automation framework. This will allow organizations to package their applications and deliver them to the Cloud in a consistent way with ShuttleOps, regardless of whether the organization is dealing with in-house developed or a commercial-off-the-shelf (“COTS”) applications.

“Our community is increasingly looking to accelerate application delivery and digital transformation with streamlined processes and tools,” said Corey Scobie, CTO at Chef Software. “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with ShuttleOps to drive joint customer success.”
