Quick Base Adds Drag-and-Drop Integrations and Workflow Automation to Low-Code Platform
May 04, 2020

Quick Base announced the addition of drag-and-drop integration and automation capabilities that empower business users to easily build workflows.

The introduction of safe, secure integration and automation capabilities for business users makes Quick Base the most complete low-code platform for delivering operational agility and insights.

The new functionality, which compliments the platform's existing developer-friendly, API-based integrations, enables anyone in the organization to connect data and insights across hundreds of cloud and on-premise solutions (including HubSpot, Dropbox, DocuSign and more) and build automated workflows for repetitive tasks, a practice commonly known as citizen integration.

"Today's disruptive environment has left every business looking for ways to be more agile and move faster," said Jay Jamison, chief product and technology officer at Quick Base. "Teams are seeking ways to work more effectively together—having data locked in siloed systems and relying on manual, slow processes are both nonstarters now. The integrations and workflow automation enabled through Pipelines represent the fastest way for businesses to transform the way their data is used, empowering problem solvers at the edges of the enterprise to work safely alongside their partners in IT to modernize unique processes and take action on information from across their operations."

With Pipelines technology, made possible as part of an acquisition announced last year, anyone in a business—not just professional developers—can use pre-built integration channels to connect Quick Base workflows with dozens of third-party tools like Dropbox, DocuSign, Slack, Hubspot and more, all without any coding experience. Traditionally owned by IT specialists, complex systems and applications that required programming knowledge to connect can now be managed by business users or "citizen developers"—using a highly-intuitive, drag-and-drop interface. The technology empowers IT and line-of-business developers to collaborate to modernize unique workflows to work across multiple systems and automate repetitive tasks, while also enabling governance through a common, secure platform that is easy to maintain.

Quick Base will continue to develop new integration channels based on customer demand.

Integrations available today include:

Salesforce
ServiceNow
Workaday
Zuora
Marketo
HubSpot
DocuSign
MailChimp
Outlook 365
QuickBooks Online
Box
Dropbox
Sharepoint

Additionally, the inclusion of a Webhooks channel makes it easy to extend reach with custom bi-directional integrations using any third-party API. Quick Base is also continuing to strengthen its support for business and IT users by including advanced capabilities that facilitate further customization and data transformation, such as a JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) handler and offering support for sandbox development.
