WhiteHat Security Joins the Vendor Forum

Eric Sheridan, Chief Scientist at WhiteHat Security, has joined the DEVOPSdigest Vendor Forum.

As the Chief Scientist of the Static Code Analysis division at WhiteHat Security, Sheridan oversees all research and development for Sentinel Source and related products, defining and driving the underlying technology. He takes pride in being able to support meaningful security analysis of a variety of static and dynamic programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, C# and PHP. Under Sheridan’s guidance, the Sentinel Source R&D team takes a no-nonsense approach to providing continuous product updates to customers in a fast and efficient manner, a process that serves as a model for other development teams across the company. He also leads the WhiteHat Certified Secure Developer (WCSD) program, a free training program designed to educate and certify developers on secure coding and application security best practices. Prior to joining WhiteHat, Sheridan co-founded Infrared Security, specializing in application security and next-generation static analysis technologies that were ultimately integrated within WhiteHat Sentinel Source. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a track in security from Towson University.

WhiteHat Security has been in the business of securing applications for 17 years. TheWhiteHat Application Security Platform is a cloud service that allows organizations to bridge the gap between security and development to deliver secure applications at the speed of business.
