May 18, 2017

Cloud Technology Partners (CTP) announced a partnership with Chef, enabling clients to leverage the combined strengths of these two industry leaders to accelerate their successful adoption of public clouds and the development of new cloud-native applications.

“At CTP, we are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our clients. Cloud adoption across an enterprise is a major undertaking, and our clients are seeking integrated solutions and best of breed tools to help them through every step of their cloud journey,” said Rob Lancaster, VP, Global Alliances, Cloud Technology Partners. “By integrating Chef Automate's infrastructure and compliance automation capabilities in our recommended reference architectures, we can rapidly provide the automated SDLC capabilities that our enterprise clients need to gain the full agility and speed that the cloud promises.”

CTP’s Cloud Adoption Program (CAP) brings together the leading technology, best practices and learnings for enterprise-wide cloud adoption. CTP provides a comprehensive framework for cloud adoption with focus on the people, process and tooling changes required by an organization to transform themselves and embrace a DevOps culture.

CTP’s Digital Innovation practices develop cloud-native applications that help companies leverage IoT, data analytics and other advanced technologies to delight their customers and transform their businesses. Through its partnership with Chef, CTP has strengthened its ability to rapidly automate its agile application development process.

“Enterprises are using Chef Automate to automate their entire app development and release process -- allowing them to deliver software faster,” said Kimberly Martin, VP of Business Development and Channel Strategy at Chef. “However, as organizations move to and develop on the cloud, they need to embrace cloud-native app development with consistent DevOps practices, and manage the change that comes with a major cloud transformation. We teamed with the cloud adoption experts at CTP to incorporate Chef Automate into their prescriptive reference architecture. As a strategic Chef partner, and a trusted advisor to enterprises, CTP has helped key Chef customers navigate the cloud’s most challenging blockers. Together, we enable organizations to quickly realize significant value, transforming both their application infrastructure and their business agility.”
