Sonatype has containerized and certified its Nexus Repository to run on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform enables developers to quickly build, host, and scale applications in a cloud environment. Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform customers will now be able to deploy Nexus Repository as a solution for managing open source components and containers.
With its built-in component intelligence, Nexus Repository allows developers to ensure the quality and security of their open source components at any stage of the application development lifecycle. This certification will allow developers using Red Hat OpenShift to use Sonatype’s Nexus Repository for binaries and build artifacts used across their DevOps pipeline.
“Our recent DevSecOps community survey found that 88% of survey respondents indicated that security was a top concern when deploying containers, yet only 53% leverage security solutions to address this problem,” said Wayne Jackson, CEO, Sonatype. “With this certification from Red Hat, developers utilizing Red Hat’s OpenShift Container Platform along with Sonatype’s Nexus Repository can now rest easy knowing that security analysis is part of their DevOps process when working within components and containers.”
“Thousands of developers at organizations of all sizes are using Red Hat OpenShift for their cloud applications. We are always pleased to be able to offer our customers new solutions that help them innovate faster. Working with Sonatype to certify their Nexus Repository container to run on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform provides another option for users wanting additional security capabilities for applications in their environment,” said Chris Morgan, Director, Product Management, Red Hat.
