Datapipe Launches Beta Program for Trebuchet
January 03, 2017

Datapipe announced the beta program for Trebuchet, a new end-to-end platform that combines a comprehensive set of proven processes to accelerate cloud deployment of enterprise applications.

Trebuchet will provide developers with the toolset required to easily and continuously deploy, monitor, and secure applications in one, easy-to-use dashboard. The platform’s features drive faster response times to match internal and external demands, ultimately improving customer satisfaction and overall competitiveness of the organization.

Across all industries, consumer expectations are dictating that application deployment needs to be flexible and fast for enterprises to remain competitive. However, every application has unique requirements. Understanding how to optimize and manage infrastructure on a per-application basis is time consuming and challenging. Trebuchet makes it easy for organizations to architect, design, build, test, and deploy software rapidly, meet security and governance requirements, and monitor and optimize IT infrastructure, all backed by the guidance and support of a trusted partner.

“Microservices are becoming a go-to solution for our clients looking for rapid deployment, but this adds complexity to their infrastructure,” said Robb Allen, CEO at Datapipe. “While we will continue to offer a consultative approach to develop client-specific solutions, we are building Trebuchet to be a customizable plug-and-play application platform. This platform will give IT managers and developers a foundation to better control technical environments and improve flexibility, scalability, and speed of deployment.”

Trebuchet is built on Datapipe’s many years of experience and industry best practices including the company’s work with a wide variety of enterprises and four of the world’s ten largest brands. The platform prioritizes automation, rapid deployment, system visibility, and security, as well as customization, to give IT organizations the flexibility to quickly build an infrastructure that will deliver value faster and with higher confidence than traditional application development methods.

Key benefits of Trebuchet include:

- Velocity: Streamline and optimize IT management and developer processes to code and release seamlessly

- Flexibility: Enable teams to work independently to be more responsive

- Visibility: Get full transparency into IT infrastructure to improve efficiencies throughout the organization

- Simplicity: Take the first step for applying automation to move faster and grow into a DevOps lifecycle

- Intelligence: Experience a system that learns to grow with the business

“A trebuchet is a compound machine that brings together a number of simple processes to create immense acceleration and power. This is the impetus behind Datapipe’s Trebuchet,” said Patrick McClory, SVP Platform Engineering and Delivery Services at Datapipe. “Trebuchet combines best-of-breed components from application architecture, continuous deployment, monitoring, and security best practices with cutting edge techniques, like machine learning, to give developers a powerful, flexible toolkit for application management that’s as simple or as technically deep as they need.”

The Trebuchet beta program will run through the first half of 2017 and allow Datapipe to test and refine the platform’s tools, resources, and user experience.
