SmartBear Software released improvements to LoadComplete, a performance and load testing tool for web applications and sites.
Load testing is typically performed using multiple transactions depicting different usages through the application under test. With LoadComplete 4.4, users can now view the performance of individual transactions in real time as the application is being load tested. This allows for the detection of errors and degradations for particular use cases under stress. Additionally, LoadComplete has expanded support to include load generation from all regions on Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). SmartBear continues to make investments to deliver an easy to use load testing solution while remaining cost-effective.
“As test teams increasingly shoulder the added responsibility of carrying out load testing in a rapid development and delivery setting, they need an easy-to-use platform to detect problems quickly,” said Anand Sundaram, VP of Products, Performance Testing and Monitoring. “With this release, LoadComplete provides additional insights in real time to help identify issues before the application goes live.”
Load generation using cloud based instances allows organizations to generate massive amounts of load without complex setup and by avoiding the expenses associated with setting up and owning load testing labs. It also allows for the elastic generation of additional load to simulate traffic spikes with relative ease. LoadComplete customers can now access all Amazon EC2 regions for load generation.
