GitLab announced the general availability of GitLab Duo with Amazon Q.
SmartBear has added an automatic error assignment feature to BugSnag, the company’s error monitoring and application stability tool.
For faster bug fixes, BugSnag Enterprise users can now proactively triage each error to the team or individual best equipped to solve each bug, based on custom rules defined by the organization. With BugSnag, teams can achieve better collaboration, faster deployments, and more stable applications, giving developers at enterprises worldwide confidence behind their code.
"SmartBear is committed to help organizations increase team collaboration and deliver quality software through automation,” said Jamie Carlisle, Product Manager for BugSnag at SmartBear. “BugSnag's new automatic error ownership feature delivers on that promise and strengthens the company's support for code ownership within organizations. This new feature eliminates the repetitive and time-consuming process of error triaging with automation, while fostering ownership and resolving errors quickly where none are left unassigned, all creating a better developer and user experience.”
Different engineering teams can target errors in various ways – by the code file where an error originates or by the feature of the app that was in use at the time of the error. From defined rules based on code, default values, or custom metadata, teams can view and prioritize errors, and rules can easily be reordered with drag and drop features. Managers and directors can align their team or organization while knowing with confidence that errors are not left unassigned. Teams can investigate and route bugs quickly with end-to-end diagnostics and pre-built integrations with other developer tools like Slack, Jira, and PagerDuty.
The error ownership feature is available to all BugSnag Enterprise customers as well as when trialing BugSnag.
