mabl launched of two new innovations, mabl Tools for Playwright and mabl GenAI Test Creation, expanding testing capabilities beyond the bounds of traditional QA teams.
"The teams poised to keep pace with innovation are the ones where development and QA work together seamlessly," said Dan Belcher, co-founder of mabl. "With mabl GenAI Test Creation and mabl Tools for Playwright, we're giving R&D leaders the tools they need to empower their teams, improve efficiency, and accelerate software delivery."
mabl's GenAI Test Creation uses generative AI to accelerate test creation and automatically incorporate best practices. This unique approach leverages existing assets and generates structured tests that are maintainable and reduce test debt.
mabl is built on Playwright itself, so extending its capabilities to include Tools for Playwright was a natural decision. This feature allows for code-level access to advanced functions, with the ease of use mabl is known for. Rather than spending a week or more writing tests to tackle complex use cases, you can now leverage mabl's unique capabilities in Tools for Playwright and write a few lines of code to test against complex tasks like:
- Setting up an email server for testing with an email previewer
- Converting PDFs to HTML that are stable enough to run tests against
- Building stable natural-language prompts and validating responses
- And more
As an early access feature, the tool also enables users to import their Playwright test results into mabl, which provides amazing benefits like:
- Fewer silos and increased collaboration: Bridge the communication gap between developers and QA by providing a unified platform for testing and reporting.
- Unified reporting structure: Consolidate test results from both Playwright and mabl to get a complete picture of application quality.
- Faster delivery of high-quality software: Gain faster feedback on code changes and ensure consistent quality across the entire development lifecycle.
