October 23, 2017

InfluxData announced the availability of certified InfluxData container images on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

Now developers and customers using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform for container orchestration and management can quickly deploy the InfluxData time series data platform in that environment. InfluxData tested and validated the interoperability of the platforms, giving open source developers and enterprise customers alike more confidence in a solution built on and certified with Red Hat’s platform.

“At InfluxData our aim is to deliver developer value as quickly as possible,” said Brian Mullen, VP of Business Development, InfluxData. “We collaborated with Red Hat to publish certified container images designed to simplify how to collect, analyze, and act on time series data using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. This builds on our key cornerstone of developer happiness, minimizing the initial setup work so developers can focus on building and running their applications instead.”

Mike Werner, senior director, Global Technology Partner Programs at Red Hat said: “Now customers can deploy time series data monitoring, alerting and notification applications on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Red Hat Enterprise Linux with more confidence knowing that the container is supported by Red Hat and partners like InfluxData.”

Using InfluxData, developers can more quickly build:

- Monitoring, alerting and notification applications supporting their DevOps initiatives

- IoT applications supporting millions of events per second, providing new business value around predictive maintenance and real-time alerting and control

- Real-time analytics applications that are focused on streaming data and anomaly detection
