Progress announced the launch of Progress Data Cloud, a managed Data Platform as a Service designed to simplify enterprise data and artificial intelligence (AI) operations in the cloud.
Copado launched integrations with Atlassian's developer tools including JIRA, Bitbucket and Bamboo.
More than 125,000 customers use Atlassian to manage their software development lifecycle. Copado Releaseware delivers fast, error-free cloud deployments, achieving continuous delivery and continuous integration (CD/CI) via an enterprise-class developer platform that is 100% native and fully integrated with Salesforce DX and Salesforce Clouds. By integrating with Atlassian tools, Copado is making it even easier for developers to deliver more innovation faster on the Salesforce platform.
"Customers using Atlassian tools to manage their Salesforce software development can now enjoy a vastly improved release management experience," said Federico Larsen, Copado Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. "By integrating with these leading DevOps tools, they can develop and release on the Salesforce platform easier than they ever could before. Our tools are designed to make developers love release days."
By integrating with Bitbucket and JIRA, developers can easily associate their changes to user stories in JIRA and check them in to Bitbucket for version control.
- JIRA integration: The JIRA integration is bi-directional and Copado is able to retrieve JIRA user stories from specific projects. The integration can be further customized to import epics or sprints, or retrieve user stories using a custom JQL Filter.
- Bitbucket integration: The Copado integration with Bitbucket allows developers to execute Git operations, such as commits and merges, backup metadata, and track pull requests, review and approvals. In response to Git pushes, Copado can execute Continuous Integration Deployments or any Copado operation leveraging the Copado Webhooks.
- Bamboo integration: Copado also integrates with Bamboo, enabling developers to execute a Bamboo job as a step within a Copado deployment and job triggered by any Salesforce or Copado record change or action via a Process Builder, Apex class or Lightning component. When executing a Copado deployment, Copado waits for the Bamboo job to complete and can be configured to continue whether or not the Bamboo job was successful.
Copado's Releaseware enables developers to simplify and improve their release process. With Copado, organizations can achieve DevOps best practices and thus improve quality, reduce errors, and save time with Salesforce deployments.
