Sencha Launches Platinum Partner and MVP Programs
July 17, 2018

Sencha (a division of Idera) launched Platinum Partner and Most Valuable Professional (MVP) programs designed to increase collaboration with and provide extensive benefits to key partners and community members.

Sencha also announced Celestial Systems, a global software services company focused on developing commercial grade web and mobility applications solutions, as the first Sencha Platinum Partner.

The Sencha Platinum Partner Program is an extension of the company’s existing partner program, which launched in 2013. This new tier is designed to build stronger and more strategic relationships with select partners who have demonstrated significant commitment to Sencha technology and its customers.

Sencha provides extensive support to help Platinum Partners optimize Sencha’s Ext JS JavaScript framework, as well as other product deployments with end-user customers, including beta access to releases, prioritized R&D support and other premium services. Sencha also promotes Platinum Partners to strategic customers who can benefit from their unique expertise.

The criteria to achieve Sencha Platinum Partner status include:

- Contribute more than one million dollars in licensing or services revenue per year
- Employ a significant number of experienced professionals, including architects and web developers
- Generate thought leadership and innovation that highlight the capabilities of Ext JS and related products, e.g. textbooks, blog series, training series

Sencha has named long-time partner Celestial Systems as its first Platinum Partner for outstanding support of Ext JS and Sencha Test in the United States and Asia-Pacific region, particularly in Japan and India.

“Sencha and Celestial Systems have been close partners for more than three years,” said Sanjay Raina, President and CEO of Celestial Systems. “Expanding our collaboration further in the engineering services area brings the two companies even closer together. More importantly, Sencha customers will benefit significantly from this expanded partnership as they can engage with Celestial as an engineering services partner in a more comprehensive manner. As Sencha continues to embrace the open source community, we anticipate more widespread adoption than ever before and are happy to be a part of that process and growth.” Celestial offers Web Application development services for front-end and back-end technologies, as well as extensive Test and QA offerings.

For its new MVP program, Sencha selects its most active community members to be trusted advocates for the company’s customers and prospects. MVPs evangelize Sencha products through user groups, conferences, webinars, articles, newsgroups, blogs and social media. MVPs also help Sencha shape its product roadmap by suggesting innovative solutions or developing components that make the ecosystem more successful.

In exchange for their support, Sencha MVPs receive the following:

- Free license to all generally available Sencha products
- Listing in the MVP directory that highlights their technical expertise
- Early access to Sencha product betas
- Direct access to product management and internal engineers
- Confidential product and technology briefings
- Marketing materials, internal demos and sales toolkits
- Access to private MVP forums

“We rely on our partner and developer ecosystem as an integral part of the Sencha family to ensure the continued success of Ext JS,” said Robert Warmack, Director at Sencha. “By engaging and rewarding Sencha’s most trusted advocates, our new Platinum Partner and MVP programs will go a long way toward increasing adoption and evolving our products and frameworks to serve global customers better.”
