NodeSource Integrates with AppDynamics
August 21, 2017

NodeSource announced that its flagship product N|Solid will integrate with AppDynamics.

This collaboration will allow customers of both products to benefit from the Node.js telemetry provided by N|Solid, which reduces downtimes and helps companies achieve faster time-to-market for their Node.js applications.

With this integration, N|Solid and AppDynamics users can access advanced Node.js metrics from N|Solid directly from their AppDynamics dashboard, allowing customers to derive unprecedented insights from their Node.js applications from a single unified interface.

“NodeSource customers are utilizing N|Solid to power mission-critical applications, and they depend on enterprise-grade solutions to reliably run their businesses,” said Joe McCann, CEO at NodeSource. “Our collaboration with AppDynamics will give customers better visibility into their Node.js applications by offering additional metrics to resolve issues faster and will allow them to spend more time innovating.”

Some of these metrics include those pertaining to asynchronous activity. Advanced metrics can be used to augment the basic Node.js metrics that AppDynamics currently provides, as a way to further enhance visibility into end-to-end transactions across disparate tiers. Also, these insights can be used to provide a full view of a user’s journey through an application.

“NodeSource sees the collaboration with AppDynamics as an accelerant to serving more Fortune 500 companies that are quickly moving to Node.js for application delivery,” McCann explained. He added that by integrating with AppDynamics, NodeSource demonstrates the differentiating value that N|Solid provides, like its ability to give customers insight into their Node.js infrastructure.
